Mysore to Himada Gopala Swamy hills: Saturday 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM : was like a shuttle trip,..had lot of halts to experience the bewitching beauty of Mother nature. Ate goose berrys on the way, n number of photo sessions, had light snacks of apple, apricot sitting on the rocks.
Himada Gopala Swamy Hills : Spent around 3 hours : Attended the Pooja at the temple for 10 min rest went in searching the animals around the temple over the hill. The weather was amazingly cool and spotted elephants, deers and another one (not sure...). here cant forget the spot which seemed similar like the rock as in the movie Dil Chahta Hai where three of them wud sit facing the sea.
Himada Gopala Swamy hills to Bandipur: Saturday 12:30 PM to 1:20 AM. when we came down the hill we spotted a lake. when we went near the other side of lake had elephants. seeing our excitement a farmer owning the tractor told tht he would take us closer to those elephants. We jumped into the tractor. The drive in tractor was memorable. but alas!! by the time we reached the elephants had disappered, came walking all the way back and while driving towards bandipur, we got sunflower seeds, ground nut and halsande kaalu,..hmmmm yummy..
By the time we were in Bandipur, we were hunger struck. We had to tolerate hunger for a while as we were searching for only veg restaurants. Finally we found one udupi hotel at Gundlu pet. grabbed up lunch there and set out the journey to Mysore. on this route we visited the Nanjangud temple, kabini lake(very dirty),Bonsai Garden and Ashram. The Bonzai garden was superb, the ashram has a temple which is so peaceful and calm. A place worth visiting.
